Poha is mostly eaten at breakfast with sweet mouth-watering jalebis. Residents of Bhind District have a sweet-tooth and are very fond of desserts & sweets like gulab jamuns & jalebis, mawa-bati, malpua, shreekhand, khoprapak, ghazak, etc. For the non-vegetarians also there is a large variety of dishes like rogan josh, korma, seekh kebab and shami kebab. The meat is cooked with lots of spices & oil and is known for its taste & delicacy.

One can try Sulfi which is local liquor distilled from flowers of the mahua tree when on a visit to this region. Fruit Juices, Lassi (Buttermilk), Shikanji (Spiced Lemon Drink) and Sugarcane Juice are like a boon in the hot summer days and are easily available in Bhind.
